Upwards Basketball Season Starts

Here the kids are ready for their first games. Sydney is on the Angels team and I am her coach. We had to be at the church by 8:15 so this was early. Daniel is on the Wildcats Team and Stefan is head coach and I assist him. His games are either at 11 or 12. Yes this means that our Saturdays are pretty busy but we are home by 1:30 and ready to have family time. We also love coaching.

Mohawks

In preparation for the upcoming Upwards Basketball season I gave Daniel his signature mohawk. Kenny wanted one as well, but I just spiked his hair verses shave it like Daniel. I think they look so cute.

Happy New Year 2013

Well the new year is upon us and although the last couple years have been both challenging and exciting I still feel like my direction gets lost about half way through the year. So this year I am determined to stay the course. A couple years ago I saw a couple of my friends picking a word to live by dwell on for the new year.. to help them keep focused. I have wanted to do this for the past two years but have delayed and procrastinated and well I never did it. This year I started thinking early and I have come up with one.. Trust. I need to fully put my trust in the Lord. I believe in Him and know Him as my Savior, but I think sometimes when the going gets tough.. I lose my focus.. I feel alone and I lose the trust I have in Him to carry my burdens to direct my path.. that He is indeed bigger than my problems. I was going to choose "Hope"... but I feel that Hope is a HUGE part of trust... and how can you hope if your dont first trust. So I am excited to see how the Lord uses the word Trust in my life in 2012.. I hope to blog about the things I learn as well..

Christmas Morning

We started Christmas off by reading the Christmas Story from the bible. We want to make sure the kids know its not all about presents.. but about our Savior being born.

30 days of pictures of what I am THANKFUL for. Day 24

Random dance sessions. At any given time to any given music from the tv, or cell phone ring, my kids will break out into a full fledged dance off. This morning it was to Mighty Machines theme song. It is so much for to join in with them and let out a little energy but mostly have fun. And it is fun. I pray that I am never too busy to join in.. Thankful for the joy they bring me. Its blurring because they were going to town. lol

Children at play. Yesterday we were outside most of the day playing with the kids. Zip lining at neighbors house, playing tag, digging holes with Kenny. It was so much. I am so thankful my children are healthy and able to run around and play. What a blessing.
