We are off.......

Well we leave tomorrow for our trip to MD for Christmas. We are driving to my sister's house in Derwood, MD for a day and then to my parents house in Valley Lee, MD for Christmas. We will also spend time with my brother and his family. We then return for one night and then head to Charleston, SC to spend New Years with Stefan's brother and family and Father. So we are basically gone the 23rd thru the 3rd.

Other breaking news: Sydney cut her first tooth today and has a second about to break. I can't believe how big she is getting. It goes much faster with the second one. I hope she is able to handle the drives well.

Well, to all of our Family and Friends in Austria and Switzerland and in MD, NC, SC and VA:

We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

May you know the true reason for this wonder day which is the birth of our SAVIOR Jesus Christ. Our prayer is that you know HIM personally.

Our Christmas Pictures

The one with Daniel Kissing Sydney was not staged. We were trying to get her to smile and he leaned in and kissed her. Isn't he sweet.

I've been tagged!

I've been tagged!
Jenn Duke tagged me! Here were my rules......
* choose the 4th picture folder on your computer
* choose the 4th picture
* explain the picture
* tag at least 4 people to do the same

This picture is from Father's 07. This is a picture at my parents house of my father with his kids and grandkids. My brother has 4 kids (oldest boy and the two girls in front of him and of course the one he is holding) and my twin sister has two kids(both in front of her). My father is holding Daniel. My brother is holding Jacob his youngest son, which is 5 months younger than Daniel.

ok so I have to tag four people.... Sara St. C., Kirsten, Katherine G. and Kara at Frugal Frenzy

Visit with Santa

Well we heard about the Santa at the Oak Hollow Mall and we had to go see him. Daniel had a great time talking to Santa. He was very funny. Santa made Daniel an honorary reindeer and told him not to eat the grass around the mall, only at home. They also sang Happy Birthday to Jesus together. It was sweet. Sydney was just wide-eyed staring at him. No smiles and no frowns. We feel blessed she did not cry.

Happy Anniversary!

Today Stefan and I have been married 5 years. I am so thankful to have such a warm, kind, gentle, caring, and devoted husband. God has taken us on a journey neither of us had expected. We are thankful that this journey was not a surprise to HIM. We talked about everything that has happened in the 5 years we have been married. Our ups and downs. It made us so excited to see what God has in store for us over the next 5 years. May God continue to bless us and may we continue to strive to be better servants to Him.

Sydney 5 months

Today Dec 10th Sydney is 5 months old. Daniel is exactly 3 1/2 today as well. Neat how they were both born on the 10th. She is such a pretty baby. I love these new hair bows I found, aren't they pretty. I love to watch her growing especially her eye lashes. Time seems to be going faster with the second child. I am glad she is a good sleeper. Thank you Jesus for a good baby!

Guess Who.......

Got her ears pierced? Well we have been waiting to get this done and finally decided we better do it before she starts to play with her ears. Some disagree with our choice, saying she is too young, but it was a great experience. Stefan did not want to be present because he thought it would be too hard to see her cry in pain, so he took Daniel to the Pet Store. Before he left he helped me pick out the earrings of choice, which were 14k gold ruby studs. Now Let me tell you....Sydney did not shed one tear. Yes she screamed when it was done in each ear and she did not like me holding her so tight to keep her still, but almost as soon as it began it was over and she literally started giggling at this little doll in the store that made a cute sound. I was kinda surprised since it was 7:30pm and she is normally in bed by then, so I figured she would at least start crying, but not my girl. I feel even better about my decision to get this done. And look how cute the picture is in her bed right before she fell asleep. Now lets just hope she doesn't dream about the lady with the piercing gun to her ear.

Santa wrote back...

Well one day a couple weeks ago, in order to get Daniel to take a nap I told him that we would write a letter to Santa to let him know that he had been a good boy and to tell Santa what he wanted for Christmas, but only if he closed his eyes. Well we wrote it and Daniel said "you have to put a stamp on it and put it in the mailbox". I thought well I guess I can and waste 42 cents. Well I was shocked today to get this post card in the mail from Santa addressed to Daniel. I think I just found another tradition. I read the card to Daniel and he said "does that mean I am getting my big motorcycle." I just said maybe so. Well I have no idea what he is talking about when he says "big motorcycle". We have asked him is it one you ride on he says no.. we asked is it one you push and he said yes a big motorcycle. but when we ask what size it is he stretches his arms out to the side as big as possible. So since Santa typed this letter maybe he will tell me what Daniel is talking about.
But, I wanted to post this in case I am not the only person who did not know that if you write and mail a letter to Santa he will respond. How cute!

Christmas is Here!

Well, I realized that with losing a week between Thanksgiving and Christmas that I better get on the ball and decorate for Christmas. I decided at 11:30pm Monday night that I would stay up until it was finished. Stefan had gone to bed and I just went to it. I did have to wake him up to bring some things down from the attic that I could not carry but it was worth it. Finally around 4am, I looked around and was so happy I decided to stay up. When Daniel and Sydney woke up I got them dressed and down stairs for pictures. I tell Daniel that Santa brings the tree and then heads back to the North Pole to get the birthday gifts ready for Jesus. And that since Jesus loves us so much He gives His birthday gifts away to everyone else. This year I gave Daniel his own little manger to play with(see the pic). Yesterday I decorated the outside of the house for Christmas. Will take pictures tonight and post later.

So much fun!

When I went out shopping for Black Friday sales, Stefan raked the leaves and let Daniel jump. We only have one tree that produces a lot of leaves, not much but he had fun. Look at the air he got on his jumps.

Turkey for Sydney

Even Sydney ate a little Turkey for thanksgiving this year...

The Gang for Thanksgiving

This is the family that I hosted for Thanksgiving. My family, My parents, My grandparents (mom's parents) and my father-in-law. And yes that is me trying to get in the picture as I am always taking the picture. We did figure out how to set the timer and get us all in around the couch, even my parents dog. What a fun, stressful and delicious day.

Turkey's Done

I thought this was blog worthy. Daniel posing with me and the turkey. I guess one day he might be hosting Thanksgiving verses me.

Those Cheeks

Well I decided today to embrace those cheeks. She will not always have them. I am so thankful that she is a good baby. She is starting to stare at us when we eat. She sometimes even gets upset. I wonder if she wonders why she is not getting what we are eating. I guess I will start rice cereal soon. Maybe next month. She still sleeps so well. She loves to giggle when you kiss her cheeks and neck. it is so cute to hear her laugh. Thank you God for my beloved Daughter.

Our First Snow with Sydney

Well Stefan told me it was going to snow during the night and he was right. When Daniel woke up he was so excited. I found out that there was a 2 hour delay so we put on the snow suits and out we went. After all it is Sydney's first snow. We don't have a pink snow suit, but the bow works great. By the way it was only 7am. The snow puts me in a holiday spirit. Of course our family in Austria and Switzerland are saying this is not snow...but beggars can't be choosers. Enjoy!

Indian Little Dan

Daniel had fall festival at preschool today. They made these indian head dresses and vests. He is so proud of himself. I remember when I made one in school. Makes me feel old. I wonder if my mom still has it. I will ask and post if she does.

Sydney...my girl!

Best Friends

I am so thankful that Daniel has a best friend. He just loves Xavier. Sometimes they don't play well together, but they are just 3. When they do play well, they make beautiful pictures like these. I hope they stay friends forever. They both are great at sports. They both have lots of energy. They both like to giggle. They both have moms that just adore them. Thank you God for our beautiful boys and thanks Rikki for these pictures.

Sydney at 4 months

Today Sydney is 4 months old. I took her by the doctors to find out how much she weighed. Wow look at the picture... Is anyone surprised? She is such a great baby. I love her chunks.

Dedication at church

Sydney was dedicated at Church on Sunday. Here is the family picture that was taken.

Park Day!

Today was such a beautiful day that we went to the park. Sydney got her first push in the swing from brother. Daniel climbed a rock wall all by himself. We had lunch and Daniel rode his bike. Makes me miss those summer days when we spent all day outside.

Whens too early to play dress up?

Well I was at Old Navy and I saw this cute costume left over from Halloween on their rack. I thought it was so cute, I had to get it. She is our little Princess. She loved wearing it. I noticed today that her eyelashes are growing can you tell in the close up. Double click and see it bigger.

Fall Fest 2008-The Incredibles

SUPERS..."Where are they now?" Well if you know the movie you know that "They are living among us..average citizens...average heroes, quietly and anonymously continuing to make the world a better place...." I bet you did not know they were members of Life Community. Well here we are..our identity is out!

Daniel was so excited to have mommy and daddy and even sister dress up. He has had this costume for over a year. I decided in June that we would go as The Incredibles, this year, so I hide his suit and when he would ask I told him it was in the shop getting fixed. He didn't seem to mind. When he woke up from his nap today, I went to get him, in full gear. When I opened the door, he said WOW YOUR A SUPER, MOMMY...no not super mommy, BUT SUPER, MOMMY. He came up and hugged me and said I am "DASH". So When Stefan got home we helped him get ready. And no Mr. Incredible does not have Green hair, but the yellow spray turned green against his dark hair and there was no time to wash..(he took one for the team Gooooo Daddy). We then got Sydney dressed as Jack Jack(our Jackie Jackie) and off we went. No not many parents dressed up with their kids, but we did and its a night that we will never forget, especially Daniel.

I'M SUPER!!!!

Well, its not even 1pm yet and Daniel just had to have his costume on for Fall Fest at our Church, which is not until 6:30pm. It took everything I could do to get him to take the gloves off to eat lunch. And oh BTW he is watching the movie right now as well. He is so excited and so am I.

LOOK MOM

Well this morning Daniel woke up super early. I asked Stefan to go turn his bedroom light on and tell him to play until we get up. (I was thinking its not even light outside yet). Well when I went to get him around 7:15 I was surprised to find what he had created. We don't have many toys in his room now, because he wanted to play verses sleep, so we just have books and the toys he takes to bed with him, which is usually about 10 Thomas trains. Well when I opened the door he said Look Mom, I made tunnels for my trains. I was so impressed I had to take a picture. He had about 8 books propped up and was driving his trains under them. How cool. BTW even after I told him it was time to go down stairs, where he could play with the real train table he said but all of my tunnels are here, I will just play in my room. What a creative little boy God gave me.

My Son

Okay Okay.. I have to post some pictures of my son. He is growing up so much. He is very smart. He has a great memory as well. He loves cubbies (awana). He has done great memorizing his verses. One a week for Awana. He also has to memorize one for Preschool as well, one a week. For the last 7 weeks he has been able to say his verses at both Awana and Preschool for a total of 14 verses. I am so proud of him. He inspires me to hunger after God's word and memorize them to heart as he does. He is also a huge blessing from God.

My Girl

My friends make fun of all the dressy dresses I put on my girl, but I love them. She is my real life doll baby. This picture if from this Sunday 10/26. Isn't she cute? The sweater MaMa Precious made for her. The dress is from Aunt Candy. She is such a good baby. She has been sleeping thru the night for about 2 weeks now. She is already trying to sit up and talk. She never misses a feeding. What a blessing she is from GOD.

Bath time

Sydney is getting so big it was time to put her in the bath with Daniel. He was so excited about her joining him. He wanted to dump water over her head. So I had to explain that she was too little. She loved it. Daniel was making her giggle and talk. They had a blast.

The Beginning

Well I did it. I started a Blog. Lots of my friends started blogs to share pictures of their families with their friends and family and I thought it was such a great idea. Its like a grown up myspace or facebook.
So I dedicate this blog to my family. My wonderful husband Stefan, and my beautiful kids Daniel 3 and Sydney 3 months. I am not sure what adventures this blog will take us on, but I am excited for the journey. Enjoy
