Kenny-8 months old today

Kenny is 8 months today. He now has 1 tooth and another one about to make an appearance.He has been teething for a couple months, but since that tooth broke through he has been sleeping through the night. Praise Jesus, just took 6 months longer than the other two. He is starting to try to talk and say dada. He loves to make noises. He is not crawling but rolling everywhere. Brother and sister just adore him and try to "help" me when they want to. He is still a very happy baby. I think he is right around 19lbs. It is a crazy zoo here with 3, and harder than I ever thought, but I am loving it.Praise they he has stayed healthy as well.

Kenny 6 months today

Kenny is 6 months today. He is a happy baby. He is able to roll over from front to back and back to front and does so often. He hasn't figured how to work the rolling over in his crib, so he is waking up more often now. He LOVES his brother and sister. He loves to giggle and people watch. He is starting to eat more baby food and liking it. We go to the doctors on the 20th to see what his stats are, I will report back. I am excited to spend his first Christmas with him, very soon.

Daniel is a Wise Man

For our Home School Group Christmas Play, Daniel was a wise man. He was so excited to have a "part" even though it was just walking in and placing his gift at Jesus manger. He loved the beard and so did everyone else. I was super proud of him. (Outfit made of: moms robe, table cloth(yellow), pillowcase one head, wooden box Kenny brought me back from Africa and eye shadow for bread.)

Kenny 5 months Today

Today Kenny is 5 mos old. He has grown so much. He has started to eat a little solid foods, like baby rice cereal, bananas and apple sauce and peaches. He likes bananas the best. He also has started to wake up 2 times a night again, so I guess a growing spurt. I was hoping introducing solids would help, but not so. Friday he went on his first outing, in the jogging stroller. Even though he cried for the first 10 minutes, he seemed to enjoy it after we got started. We went on a neighborhood field trip to look at leaves. Daniel put his sunglasses on him, Kenny seemed to like it. He is giggling a lot more now. He is rolling from front to back and back to front and loves chewing on toys. He is also cutting his bottom 2 teeth, they are about to break through. With the Holidays coming I am excited to see what else comes our way.

Well we went to get her hair cut and the moment we walked in the door she fell to the floor and screamed. We tried to put her in the chair, but it was not happening. So we came home and mommy cut her hair. No problems.

Today Kenny is 4 mos old. He has grown a lot in weight and personality. He loves loves loves his brother and sister and they love to hold him and make him giggle. He loves his toys pictured below. He is sleeping mostly through the night, but he is starting to cut some teeth, so that might change. He still sleeps a lot during the day which is good for mommy to get some things done with Daniel and Sydney. We love him so much and he seems to fit right in with the craziness we have here everyday. Thank you God for this third blessing.

Last night at 10pm my granddaddy passed away in his sleep. When he closed his eyes to this world he opened them to the wonderful glories of Heaven. No more sickness, no more fragile bones. He will be missed for sure. I will see you again Grandpa. I love you.

Where has this summer gone.Baby Kenny is now 2 months old. He weighs over 12lbs...and is sleeping better. The kids just love him to pieces, especially Daniel. Its hard mothering 3 kids, 5, 2, and newborn, but God is getting me through each day. We have had plenty of visitors this month, Jennifer and Lyle and kids, Jef and Candy and Kids also Mom and dad for a short visit. Loved the help they gave me.

Well Baby Kenny is so precious. I couldn't help but post the pic of him from the photo shoot over the weekend. I just love it. Waiting on final images from Hana and I am excited. Baby Kenny still seems to be a little more fussy, we think he might be Colicky, but we are praying he isn't. He gets fussy from 6-10pm and cries on and off. During the day he just loves to be held and seems to be trying to see his brother and sister more. He even kinda laughed this week. He will be officially 1 month old on the 15th. I can't believe it. Time flies.

Wow Sydney is 2 today. I just seems like yesterday she was born. Time flies when you are having fun. She has really grown up to me over the last couple of weeks. She is clearly talking better and understanding direction. She loves for you to read to her and she loves to give hugs and kisses. She has a sweet nature about her. I love her eyes and her curls. She also learned how to use the word NO more now.. I guess terrible twos are starting. Its hard to get upset with her.. I mean look at this face. You just want to kiss those cheeks all the time. I am excited to see her grow even more this next year. Happy Birthday Sydney Coo Coo (our nick name for her)

What can I say.. Baby Kenny has been very awesome to his mommy. The first week home, he only wakes up once a night. He sleeps a lot and eats a lot and of course I have to change his diaper a lot, but that's all to be expected. Daniel loves him so much and always wants to hold him. Sydney I think doesn't understand much and other then trying to climb in his bassinet, doesn't want much to do with him. I am sure that will change. I can see Kenny changing already. The first week flew by.. lets see how the others go.

Baby Kenneth Meets his Great Grandparents

At 4 days old baby Kenny had his first road trip to meet his great Grandparents. He did great. What awesome memories these pictures will serve, as Kenny might not get a chance to know/remember his great grandparents, and its a blessing that the great grandparents were able to meet their 16th great grandchild. I love the last pictures as it represents 4 generations.

I can't believe my little boy is 5 today. Boy has time flown by. He has grown up so much. He loves to learn new things and play sports. He loves to play and tease his little sister. Games are his new favorite thing and we started Family Game night on Monday nights just because he loves them so much. We love you very much Daniel and cant wait to see God work in your life over the next year. Thank you Lord for this boy, our blessing.

Well we have enjoyed Upwards soccer league with Daniel with Mommy and Daddy as his coaches. We have had preschool field trips to Park and NSC(museum), Won tickets to see Elmo Live, A MOPS day out at Lazy Five Ranch(zoo), Cubbies Graduation and a preschool graduation. on May 28th Daniel graduated from Preschool. He attended Adams Farm Community Church Preschool. We loved this school. Each and everyday we brought him there they thanked us for letting them teach our children. It was such a Godly environment. We will miss seeing them, but know they are praying for Daniel to do well in Kindergarten. Thank you Mrs. Farmer(preschool director), Mrs Trica, Mrs Betsy, and Mrs Tonya(his teachers this year)

Daniel finished his entire book and actually was the only cubby out of at least 50 that never missed a day and received a special trophy. I was his leader this year and he made me proud.

Mommy and Daddy had a lot of fun coaching Daniel's upward soccer team. It was crazy at first with all these little 4-5 yr olds just running around and some of them would rather pick up rocks verses kick the ball, but by the end they were getting good. Daniel scored 3 goals this year and 2 in his last game. Way to go Daniel.

Elmo Live: Elmo Grows Up

A simple trip to Chic Fila for a late lunch, won us some free almost front row seats for Elmo Live: When Elmo grows up. We took Daniel when he was two and he had a blast so we knew Sydney would as well. It was cool, because they got to see several of the characters up close and even touch them. It was a great family night.

Daniel's preschool took a trip to the NSC in Greensboro. It was a first time we have ever been and it was a blast. Dino's and tigers and rocks and boats and a see saw.. what more can you ask for.

R.I.P. my sweet Cat Zorro

Last Night we lost our sweet Cat Zorro. He was around 11 years old. About 3 weeks ago he was diagnosed with lymphoma and we just could not pay for treatment and they were not even sure that he would survive. So we decided to keep him home with us for his last days. I had this cat, before my husband and children and he meant a lot to me. He slept with me beside my pillow almost every night. Acted like a dog and greeted us everyday. He loved playing outside no matter the weather. Yes only a cat, but he will be missed.

Moving on to Soccer

Thats right.. if basketball was not enough.. Daniel wanted to do soccer. So last Saturday, Stefan took him to soccer try-outs. He did realy good. He loves his new shoes, socks and chin guards. He slept in them for the first 3 nights. Too funny.

He had to kick and control the ball around some cones and he was timed.
The timer said he was going as fast as the 1st-3rd graders. He did it in like 40 secs controlling the ball. Inpressed us all.
He had to do two sprinting tests.
And shoot the ball at the goal from different distances. This should be just as exciting as basketball..

Busy December...Lets catch up

In the beginning of the month Daniel had basketball evaluations to play basketball thru our churches Upward Sports Program. It will be a challenge for him, as the baskets are 8 ft tall for his age group, but he is up for the challenge and very excited about playing which starts in January. Stefan will be assistant coaching Daniel's Team.

Here he is trying to make a basket with Pastor Barry cheering him on.

Next Daniel had his Christmas Program at School. He did very well singing this year and was smiling the whole time. Sydney enjoyed herself. She loved all the singing and kids. Afterwards they served cake to celebrate Jesus birthday.

Then the Snow Storm came. We ended up with about 6-7 inches of snow, with a layer of ice on top. It looked like a winter wonder land.

I had Sydney so bundled up she could not walk, so Stefan walked her around the backyard. I had to take a picture after we came in from the snow of her crazy curly hair and red cheeks. She wanted to stay out forever.

Daniel was very proud of the snow man that he and daddy made.

Lastly, this is a picture of Sydney all dressed up for church this Sunday and she was by the tree so I thought lets try to get her to smile, no such luck, but she is still a cutie.

Something old and something kinda new

Well I was tired of Sydney playing with trucks and boy toys, that I finally stopped being lazy and looked for her baby stroller she got for her birthday, but that got quickly packed up at the old house, as it was scratching the floor, and with us trying to sell the house, scratches were not good. So I found it and then decided to give her one of my old dolls from when I was a little girl. Not sure how young I was as it is in great shape, has a weird spell but febreze should work that out. Well she loves it. She wants to keep taking it in and out of the stroller, which she needs mom's help to do.

First Sign of Christmas

Well after Thanksgiving dinner we put up our tree. By the next morning the kids were amazed at all the lights and ornaments. This is a picture of their first look at the tree for Christmas 2009. Now if I can only get them to stop playing under the tree and taking ornaments off. Fun! Fun!

Well we had a very small Thanksgiving this year as no family was able to come. Like always it still took hours to cook everything and about 10 minutes to eat and then clean up time. It was a little harder this year, because it was a one women show without my mom and grandma here helping. I think everything turned out great.

Pumpkin Patch

Wednesday we went to the pumpkin patch with Daniel's preschool. Sydney had a blast walking around and hugging all the pumpkins. Daniel was excited for the hayride, which he knows mommy is afraid of, but I held both tight and off we went. Enjoy the pics.

New House.. New Baby

Yes you read correctly. We are expecting our third child in June. We are so excited to have this addition to our families. We pray that we will have a healthy pregnancy and healthy baby.

What's for Dinner?

Well today was our first dinner in our new home, sitting at our table with real silverware, since I was finally able to locate the box.

This dinner was courtesy of our wonderful realtor Ginny Forestieri of Forest Realty, Inc.. She was our realtor for selling our old home and buying our new home. She was incredible and we would not have been able to ride the roller coaster of selling and buying a home without her. She is first and foremost a God fearing lady. She loves the Lord with all her heart and it is evident in everything she does. It was wonderful to pray with her over every step of the process. And when we were looking for answers she was the first to say, "lets pray." She handled every little detail and always went above and beyond our expectations and thought of things that would concern us before we even knew. In a market that the news says is awful, Ginny was able to guide us to sell our new home in 4 months and secure bigger home and still walk away from closing with a check in our hand, having to pay nothing more out of pocket. We will always be thankful to Ginny for her hard work. I would HIGHLY recommend her.

Back to the dinner: Ginny bought us a huge chicken pot pie from Costco, with a salad. After baking it for 1 1/2 hours, I couldn't wait to sit down and eat. It was fabulous. The kids even liked it. The best part is that there is enough for left overs tomorrow. Can I hear Amen to that?

Well I was sweeping the floors last week and Sydney wanted to help. I gave her a little broom and she actually helped me. I am glad she thought it was fun and games, even though it was hard work. Got to teach them young.

Daniel's Big Boy Bike

Well as was mentioned on a couple post ago Daniel can ride his bike without training wheels. Well he asked his PaPa Peter for a new, bigger bike and he got it over 1 week ago. He can ride it just fine. Getting on and off are a little hard as it is taller than him, but he is working on that as well. On Wed Daniel's preschool had a bike rodeo and Policemen came and talked about bike safety and they were allowed to bring their bikes to school. I was so surprised to see that Daniel was on the only one in his 4 year old class that could ride without training wheels. The teacher said "the police officers had never seen a boy so small ride a bike like that without training wheels and were impressed he was doing so well." I am so proud of our boy. Thanks Peter for the big bike.

Well Sydney is growing up. She starting walking about 3 weeks ago and of course is all over the place. She has such a great personality for a 14 month old. She loves her daddy. As soon as Stefan walks thru the door from work she calls for him.. DAADDDYYY. She loves to bring us things, and then takes them right back. She still loves her brother to death and I hope that doesn't change.

She loves to swing. As you can see she has curls like her mama.

Her hair can almost all go up in the cutest little pigtails ever.

She went to her first ever tutu birthday party and had a blast.

Update on Daniel

Well this is a post to update everyone on Daniel. He started school a couple weeks ago. He goes M-W-F from 9-12pm. He loves it. He is excited to have Xavier and Nathan in his class this year.

In other breaking news Daniel learned to ride his bike without training wheels. We practiced for about 2 days in the back yard on grass and he really got the hang of it. Then we moved to the front yard and then he was off on the rode. He rode his bike literally for 5 hours on Sunday and about just as long yesterday. We are so proud of him for sticking with it. Now its time to get him a bigger bike. If I can figure out how to upload a video I will.

Sorry these are so late being posted we had a great time with Stefan's side of the family. Beautiful weather. Much easier since Sydney is walking now. Yea!

Well Sat we were having a fun day at home while daddy went golfing. When Daniel got up from his nap and went to the bathroom he said he did not want to put his shorts back on. No big deal...Then Sydney woke up and I changed her and did not put her shorts on her. When I brought her down stairs Daniel said "mom I don't have my shorts on and Sydney doesn't have hers on, why do you have yours on"....I said "I have no idea." So off mine went and so began the NO SHORTS PARTY. We danced around and had a lot of fun, until our realtor called and said someone was across the street and wanted to see my house.... I said "o no we are having a no shorts party" and she said "what"..(kinda funny on my end).. but she might not have even heard what I said... I said never mind I need 30 minutes to get ready (dressed and place picked up). It was fun while it lasted.. and yes I spared you pics on me w/o my shorts.

Thursday Daniel had open house at Adams Farm Christian Preschool, where he was able to meet his classmates and his new teachers. So we all loaded up, including Sydney. He was so excited to be there. Deeper Still

Wow what an incredible 2 days. I had the opportunity to be a volunteer for LifeWay Book store at the Deeper Still Conference. It was fun working behind the register with Megan. Since we volunteered we got in free to the conference. We did have to miss some of the worship music, but I was able to witness some amazing worship art, I thought of Sara St. Clair the whole time, because she was the first to introduce me to worship art.
I came home a changed woman with an even deeper love of Jesus and the power that we have thru HIM. My favorite speaker was Priscilla Shirier. Today was Sydney's formal 1 year pictures. She did great and We could have gotten about 20 other poses, but we settled on these. The tutu ones are my fav and turned out some much better than we could have hoped. Thanks Morgan for her birthday tutu.
Stefan likes getting the profile ones for our living room wall and we get one everytime. Of course these are photos of the actually photos so coloring is a bit off. We also could not pass up getting one of both the kids. They love each other so much.. when they want too. : )

Well today we turn 32. Doesn't feel so bad to turn 32. Here are some pics of my sister and I. The older one is of our thirty birthday that we celebrated together at a Mexican place. Do you remember I went blond for my 30th, well my sister went red. Now she is blond and I am natural(can't afford anything else). Happy Birthday Jennifer, I love YOU!

Well Today Sydney turns 1 year old. I remember like it was yesterday going to the hospital and giving birth to her around 3pm. She was an easy delivery and had been any easy baby. She now weighs 23 lbs 1 oz, 30 inches long. She has 8 teeth and 4 others working their way in. She is crawling, pulling up on things and starting to cruise around things. All this happened in 2 weeks. She no longer goes to bed at 6:15pm, more like 7:30-8pm, which is fine. She just loves her brother to death and he loves to entertain her. We are excited to see her start walking and talking more. She does say mamamama and dadadadada now. I hope that she stays my girly girl with bows and dresses. Thank you God for my beautiful, funny, loving and joyful baby girl. Happy Birthday Sydney!!!!

New Hair cut

Last time I got a hair cut or anything done to my hair I had 10 1/2 inches cut off. I thought it was time to get something done since it has been a year, the longest I have ever gone without visiting a salon. Talking about frugal...anyways I like the cool new do.. what do you think...

Completed bows

Well I completed all my bows and I loved how they turned out. Not one single bow looks like the other, which I think totally shows they are hand made. I of course will get better at making them as I go.. but I am thrilled at how they turned out. And just look how cute she looks in them. This was an attempt to pull all of her front hair back in the bow, but mostly she is wearing them with her bangs swept to the side as the last picture shows.

Well I have finally found a great website that taught me how to make bows and I completed my first one this morning. Thanks Rikki for letting me borrow your glue gun. I now just have these other colors to do and Sydney will be adorned for a while at least. Ooo the website is www.girlythingsbows.com . Take me out to the ball game

Last Thursday Stefan's work sponsored a night at the Grasshoppers game. We took Daniel last year and this year we knew we needed to brave the late game and take Sydney as well. We had fun. We got there at 6:15 even though the game did not start until 7pm, but we knew we would have to leave by 8pm. We just walked around and ate some good food. As you can see below Sydney did not get enough as she was eating the ticket the whole game, hands free. We had great seats on the third base line and Daniel had a blast and came home with a little stick bat and ball. We really need to do this again.

June 10, 2009----Just 4 years ago Daniel was born. What an adventure we have been on. More blessing than I can count, more laughs than I can remember, more good times than bad times, more love than I can measure, what joy it is to be a mother of a loving son. It has not always been easy, but day by day we learn together. I am so thankful that God has let me have you for this period of time to raise you up in HIS word and guide you in HIS ways. I am so thankful we have a strong family bond. We have seen you this last year become a great big brother and can't wait to see what the next years bring. We love you more than you know.
A Note from Dad: The last four years have been the best in my life. Since you were born and even more now, I have developed an indescribable love for you that words do not convey. You are truly a blessing from God (not to mention a handful at times :)) You have grown up so fast - too fast. I love you and am SO proud of the boy you have become.

Last day of Preschool, Vistors, and Memorial Day Fun

This weekend we were busy with fun. Friday was Daniel's last day of school and he did great at the performance. Then we had Aunt Jennifer and Uncle Lyle along with their children Brock and Kiera join us for the long weekend. We had fun playing in the backyard with some water activities, as it was Hot. We also went to the pool on Sat and this was Sydney's first time in the water, other than a bath. She loved it even though the water was cold. Of course we all liked the indoor pool as the water was much warmer.

Today Sydney is 10 months old. She now has 7 teeth and is starting to get up on all fours. No crawling, no pulling up by herself and no walking, but that is just fine. She has her whole life for me to chase her... right?...I love her so much. She loves to talk to her toys and loves her brother so much.

Well the weather today was beautiful and HOT. I think we got into the high 80's. Daniel helped me wash the Jeep so I promised him, he could fill up the pool. We quickly realized that the hose water was too cool, so I had to bring in hot water from the house. They both had a blast. I am looking forward to summer, looks like I have another water baby.

Well Sat was beautiful and we decided early to go to the ZOO. We did not know they were celebrating Earth Day. We had a blast. We were able to watch them feed the Lions and Daniel had fun playing in the Kids Zone.
